Short Description: 

A painted utility box with the title "Picasso Box" is located on Tyler Street at the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue in Pittsfield, MA.

Long Description:

The City of Pittsfield Artscape Committee has chosen the artists for the second phase of their paintbox program. The utility boxes were painted July 2017 and were unveiled on July 20, 2017 during the Third Thursday street fair.

Jennifer Carlo created this utility box titled "Picasso Box". She has painted her variations of  four paintings by Picasso on the sides of the utility box.








East Side - "Doves of Peace"



Sidewalk Side - a variation of "Le Rêve" ("The Dream")



West Side - "Bouquet of Peace"

A companion painted bench contains a quote by Picasso on the value of art

Art washes away from the Soul
The dust of Everyday Life
