Short Description: 

William Henry Harrison is buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was a 1st class passenger and drowning victim from the RMS Titanic.

Long Description:

William Henry Harrison was the private secretary to Mr. J. Bruce Ismay, chairman and managing director of the White Star Line of steamships, the owner of the RMS Titanic. He boarded and shared a cabin on the RMS Titanic with J. Bruce Ismay and Ismay's valet Richard Fry. He died, at age 40, when the RMS Titanic hit an iceberg and sank east of off Nova Scotia while on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City. His body, #110, was recovered by the cable ship the MacKay Bennett and his remains brought to Halifax, NS. Despite the wishes of his wife Ann Elizabeth, his body was not brought back to England. Instead, his was the first body recovered from the Titanic Disaster to be buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Halifax, NS on May 1, 1912.

One of the larger headstones marks the grave of William Henry Harrison. A 5' tall granite obelisk is inscribed:
