Short Description: 

Herbert Cave is buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was a crew member on the RMS Titanic and died during the sinking of the RMS Titanic.

Long Description:

Herbert Cave was born in Wandsworth, London, England in 1873. He joined the victualling crew of the RMS Titanic on April 4, 1912 where he worked as a 1st class saloon steward. He died when the RMS Titanic sank after striking and iceberg east of Nova Scotia on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to NY, NY.

Herbert Cave's remains (#218) were recovered by the cable ship Mackay-Bennett and brought to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he was buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, on May 8, 1912. He was 39 years old.

A larger granite headstone marks his grave. It is inscribed:
