Short Description: 

Ernest Waldron King is buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was a crew member on the RMS Titanic who died during the sinking of the RMS Titanic.

Long Description:

Ernest Waldron King was born in Gort, County Galway, Ireland in early 1884. He joined the crew of the RMS Titanic on April 9, 1912 where is served as a clerk with the victualling crew. He died when the RMS Titanic sank after striking and iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to NY, NY.

Ernest Waldron King's remains (#321) were recovered by the cable ship Minia and brought to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he was buried in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, on May 10, 1912. He was 28 years old.

A granite headstone marks his grave. It is inscribed:

IN

CURRIN RECTORY 
CLONES, IRELAND 
DIED ON DUTY S.S. "TITANIC"
APRIL 15, 1912. 
AGED 28 YEARS.
