GPS: N60° 08.990; E024° 55.286

Short Description:

The Munkkisaari Quay is located about 1.5 miles southwest of the downtown area of Helsinki, Finland.

Long Description:

Helsinki is a popular port of call on cruises that circle the Baltic Sea to and from Copenhagen, Denmark. Every year, about 300 cruise ships with 360,000 passengers visit Helsinki.

My Welcome Back to the Ship
It would have been a long, time consuming, walk through an industrial area to reach Senate Square in  downtown Helsinki. Three major attractions were even farther away. So, we opted to take a city tour with stops at Senate Square,  Sibelius Monument, Olympic Stadium, and the Temppeliaukio Church. From there I opted to walk back to the ship, visiting the previously posted sites along the way, while my wife rode the tour bus back to the ship.
