Long Description:
The iron and glass
Palm House was erected in 1881-2 to designs by Franz Xaver Segenschmid. Palm
House consists of a 28-meter high central pavilion and two lateral pavilions
which are 24 meters high. The pavilions are linked by lower passages. The
structure is 113 meters long and the climate is maintained by steam heat so that
rare specimens from all over the world can be grown here.
